Manniversary

Today is my and Chris' fifth wedding (elopement?) anniversary.

It seems kind of crazy that we ran off at 23 and 24 and tied the knot. Now 23 seems so young.
Luckily, we've pretty much managed to grow up together. Over the five short years we've been married, we've had two babies, gone through 3 moves, had our best friends move across the country and across the world, finalized a second-parent adoption, changed jobs a collective 3 times, gotten through a political campaign, and survived (almost) one session of the House. We've also gotten through countless sleepless nights, several stomach viruses, a few ER visits, and one Very Big Health Scare.

No matter what's going on, he's still the person I call first when something good (or bad or in-between) happens. I'm glad we found each other.

Gosh, this makes me totally tear up. Happy day - what are you doing nice for yourselves?

We're going out solo tonight for seafood and beaching.

Last night was movie night, but the kids and the movie (Wall E) made it a little... not completely romantic.
