I was supposed to work from 3p-11p today, and at 1:30 one of the nurses called and asked if I would like to take call. This gave me time to get out my little postal scale to calculate whether or not I had purchased enough yarn for this project. If I calculated correctly, I'll have enough to make a 60 inch shawl, which will be fine since I am short.
Being on call means no beer, which is my only complaint about today. We sat outside and had chips, salsa, and homemade guacamole for lunch, and then Chris grilled an
excellent dinner. Both meals would have been fabulous with a limey Corona, but I'll take knitting and Sunday papers over work any day.
