Chris and I had a date scheduled for Saturday night. We planned on going down to the beach, grabbing a bite to eat, and sitting on the wall at Narragansett with our books and some coffee. By the time we dropped the kids off at my mom's house, we were both pretty hungry. For once, we had no dinner reservations, so we just took off down 95.
My psychic button got pushed last week, and before we left, I had a vision of us sitting in the front seat of a tow truck, thinking "at least we didn't have the kids with us." Coming around the Blue Bug curve, we hit a gigantic pallet in the middle of the road. It was completely unavoidable. We managed to make it to Chris' office a few miles down the road, and when we stopped to check out the damage, there was an unmistakable hiss. I then had a hissy fit, complete with jumping up and down and swearing. I really wanted to go to the beach.
Chris (quickly) changed the tire, and we decided to head back north in case one of the other tires decided to kick it. We ended up eating outdoors at Trinity Brewhouse. It worked out really well. The weather was nice and the (strawberry) beer was yummy. During dinner we were approached by a very drunk man who asked if we were enjoying our evening. Except he was so drunk, I heard "join your evening?" and said "no, thank you." Chris was briefly offended until he realized my "no, thank you" was a response to an assumed proposition.
After dinner we made our way over to Waterfire. Neither of us had been, and it was pretty but way too crowded for my taste. There are a bunch of Rhode Island tourist things I have yet to do- the biggest being a trip to Block Island. Every year, my grandfather and I vow to ride the ferry there before tourist season starts and every year we don't.
I've been knitting like a fiend. This is halfway done.
Annabelle found this in the garage and placed it under a bush.
It is a photo of me and bridezilla.
She made me shave my pits and cover my tattoos for
her fantasy wedding. She was divorced before my hair grew back.
See that glow behind my poofy poofy hair? It's my halo.
Little trees. Annabelle picked these out. I think
they're flowers. We'll see.
A little color. I could not locate my favorite purple flowers.
peppers. many peppers.
Bleeding hearts. One of my favorite plants.
