Angry gardening

Our veggies are a little late going in this year- when we tilled the soil 2 weeks ago, there were a bunch of grubs in the garden. We treated with predatory nematodes a few days ago. Since the nematodes are microscopic, I'm not entirely convinced that they were actually in that blue sponge. The lady at the garden center may have been cackling as she thought about another sucker who bought a $30 package of "nematodes".

So here it is, June 2, and we're just getting around to planting.

I was in a foul mood yesterday, thanks to the family drama wherein my mom's husband emptied their checking account and half of her house and then disappeared. Today, I remain in a foul mood. He took her Rowenta (and a billion other things that were not his to take). What the fuck.

Angry gardening. Too bad there weren't any grubs in my path. They'd have been grub goo.

this little one made me smile.
it may be my spirit animal.

Hannah is the new Kristina.
She gets to do all the fun stuff
I used to do with my grandparents.
